Chambers Reserve

Bushwalking and Picnic Area

This reserve of 121.4 ha is owned by the State of Victoria, but managed by Cardinia Shire, assisted by a Friends group. A number of walking trails commence from the picnic and barbeque area, leading through various vegetation types downhill to Toomuc Creek and returning via alternative routes. Possums, bats, swamp wallabies and wombats are active after dusk, but echidnas and lyrebirds may occasionally be glimpsed. Birds abound. 332 species of indigenous plants have been recorded in this Reserve, which is rated as a Site of Regional Botanical Significance. Public toilets are available.
