Toomah Wines

Vineyard, Winery, Cellar Door Sales and Cafe

In 1996, Matt Robinson planted two acres of vines on his parents 560-acre property ‘Seven Oaks’.

Since then 20 acres are now under vines. Varieties include Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

‘Seven Oaks’ is located on a historically significant landmark in Cardinia Shire, with stunning views of beautiful Toomuc Valley. The property established in the late 1800′s is entered through gates of the era, via the oak lined drive, which passes over Toomuc (originally Toomah) Creek, from which the winery has been named.

Toomah Wines is a small boutique winery producing high quality cool climate wines in limited quantities. The winery is located in the packing shed of the the former Toomuc Valley Orchard, which was the largest orchard in the southern hemisphere in the 1930s. At the time it boasted its own school (now located at Beaconhills College, Pakenham), church and ‘post office’; a building where wages and post were handed out.

The cellar door is located in the recently renovated post office and stands between the carriage house, now housing farm equipment, and the Gate House, the home of the Robinson’s.

The cafe offers quality coffee, brewed tea, Devonshire teas and cheese platters, in a recently renovate building, where patrons can enjoy views of the vineyard. The venue caters for all weather conditions, seating 50. Also available is a selection of local produce.

Toomah Wines offer those who enjoy fine wines the opportunity to meet the Vignerons, Matt and Michelle, who invite you to enjoy a complimentary tasting of wines.
